A Winter Visitor in Recovery: a Northern Gannet's journey

Healthy Northern Gannets are not willing sunbathers. When in Florida for the winter, they are typically out at sea. This adult Gannet was found near Crescent Beach yesterday, unable to stand, walk or fly. We are happy to report he is eating well as you can see!

These gorgeous sea birds are often so depleted by the time they come into care that they don’t survive. We are optimistic about this one!
