The Ark's wonderful rescue volunteer Shandra was a busy lady this Saturday! She headed from Vilano up to the Guana Area not once, but twice, to rescue gannets in distress. The first gannet was a juvenile that led Shandra into the surf before he was captured. Not long after Shandra had transported this bird down into St,. Augustine and got home to dust and dry off, a second call came in about a gannet in need of help. The second bird was located... in almost the same area of beach and was further along in his journey toward fully white adult plumage. Once again Shandra drove up into Guana and then down into St. Augustine.
Glad Shandra was there to answer the call for help? DONATE to The Ark to assure we can continue to provide this critical work.
