A busy Saturday morning for wildlife rescue included a happy ending for a goose out in Argyle Forest who was so entangled in fishing line that his legs were effectively shackled together. This might sound like surely a pretty easy rescue - what's he going to do run, lol? BUT the goose was quite capable of flight AND hesitant to leave the water's edge as well. Luckily Valerie had Michelle, another of The Ark's rescue volunteers, alo...ng with her and the help of two neighbors along the lake who were SUPER helpful in enticing the goose into net gun range (thank you Heather!) and in providing cutting tools for the line so the team didnt have to carry the goose back to Valerie's truck (thank you Kyle!) Great folks out there in Argyle Forest <3. Joseph, who originally reported the goose's distress, is even looking into helping get the word out more effectively over at NAS JAX. The Ark has definitely made some new wildlife warrior friends!

Saturday's rescues (for Valerie alone) began at 9am and covered areas ranging from St Augustine, to Mandarin, to Orange Park, To Southside and didnt end until 1pm when Valerie had to get back to the house to feed rehab orphan babies their formula. If you'd like to HELP THE ARK be there like this for our wildlife then
DONATE. PLEASE. We have got to have fnances to provide food, shelter, and medical care. There's no magic. It takes money!
